CHRISTMAS TIME in Galway means it’s pantomime time and no Galway Christmas is complete without the Renmore Pantomime and a show from the Performing Arts School Galway.

Once ipon a time in a place not too far away, the enchanted folk of Panto Land decided to share with mortals their tales of heroes, villains, magic castles and princesses. After consideration, it was agreed to entrust the not too fairy-like Castlebar Pantomime with their treasured tales. For it was agreed that the enthusiasm shown by these mere mortals within Mayo to annually reproduce the tales of Panto Land deserved the support of these enchanted folk.

THE RENMORE Panto is an integral part of the Christmas season in Galway and this year sees the troupe marking its 20th anniversary with a glittering production of Beauty and the Beast at the Town Hall.

THIS CHRISTMAS the Performing Arts School Galway are proud to present Snow White and the 7 Delinquents. Running from December 28 to January 4 in the Black Box Theatre, a magical treat awaits all who attend.

With the countdown to Christmas now firmly underway, it’s worth taking time out to consider what to do over the festive holidays. Well, what better event to look forward to than Athlone’s Christmas pantomime, Olde King Cole. The show, which is currently in rehearsal, will take place in the Dean Crowe Theatre starting on New Year’s Eve with a matinee performance starting at 2.30pm.. There will also be a performance on New Year’s Day at 7.30pm and two performances on Saturday January 2 at 2.30pm and at 7.30pm.
